In 2025, Taiwan’s pig industry faced multiple challenges, including disease outbreaks (especially ASF), typhoon damage, and labor shortages, highlighting the importance of biosecurity and operational efficiency. Cooperl continued to expand its services, from genetic pigs to equipment, animal health solutions, training, seminars, and organic fertilizers, while strengthening our team to support farmers in maintaining stable operations. Looking ahead to 2026, farms will need to accelerate transformation, improve productivity and management, and enhance biosecurity to seize new opportunities. Experiences from French farmers show that continuously optimizing operations and professional capabilities is key to overcoming challenges.
New Year means also getting fresh new! To me more in phase with the local farmers in Taiwan, Cooperl Taiwan changed name for Cooperl Taichung. Same team, same spirit, same dedication to our partners, only the name changes.

廚餘禁令啟動
Kitchen Waste Ban
自 2026 年 1 月 1 日起，全面禁止家用廚餘養豬；2027 年將全面禁用所有廚餘。
Effective January 1, 2026, household food waste is strictly banned. A total ban on all food waste for feed will take effect in 2027.
防疫加嚴
Disease Control
高雄市農業局於1月初宣布啟動「2026年度養豬防疫行動」。鑑於去年底台中出現的零星非洲豬瘟案例，高雄市政府採取主動防疫、精準監測及跨區聯防三大策略。1月起加強對5,000多個養豬場的生物安全輔導，確保肉品供應穩定。
Kaohsiung's Agriculture Bureau launched its "2026 Pig Epidemic Prevention Action" in early January. Following sporadic ASF cases in Taichung late last year, the city is implementing proactive prevention, precision monitoring, and regional cooperation. Starting this month, biosecurity guidance is being intensified across over 5,000 pig farms to ensure a stable pork supply for the new year.

新北市提供最高 150 萬元設備補助；違規者最高罰 40 萬元並取消補助資格。
New Taipei City offers up to NT$1.5M for equipment; violators face fines up to NT$400K and permanent loss of subsidies.
